Via-ID is scaling up its carsharing positions by bringing Buzzcar to Drivy, global business leader.

2 April 2015

Via-ID has a stake in the capital of Drivy, the global private car rental leader. This operation was made possible with the sale of Buzzcar to Drivy coupled with additional financial investment alongside BPI (Banque Publique d’Investissement, a public investment bank).

Founded in 2011 after Robin Chase and Mobivia Groupe joined forces, headed up by Nicolas Ledouarec since 2013, Buzzcar ranked third in the carsharing business in France: it will bring Drivy 100,000 users, 7,000 rental cars in France and an expert team.

With this partnership, we hope to send a strong message to the market as to Via-ID’s and Mobivia Groupe’s drive to develop new forms of mobility as well as the group’s capacity to forge win-win
alliances. Furthermore, Via-ID confirms its ambition to opening up new growth perspectives for its companies, thanks to the synergies it can offer, both in start-ups of the investment fund that through the Mobivia Groupe’s businesses.
