Mobivia Groupe, European leader in multi-brand vehicle maintenance and equipment (with brands such as Norauto and Midas), acquired a majority stake in Skruvat, historical player and Scandinavian e-commerce leader in auto parts and accessories. Through this transaction Mobivia Groupe accelerates its growth in e-commerce and strengthens its international positions, especially in the Nordic countries.
Eighteen months after the acquisition of Bythjul, the Nordic specialist in online sales of tires and rims, Mobivia Groupe is consolidating its positions in the Nordic countries and its international presence. The Group is indeed located in 16 countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Romania, Poland, Russia, Argentina, Morocco, Algeria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark).
Olivier Melis, Member of Mobivia Groupe Executive Committee, in charge of Development: “Skruvat is a solid player and growing fast. This acquisition gives us three major accelerations: strengthening our digital strategy, our presence in the Nordic countries, and our offer in the technical area.” Note: the online sales market will represent 20% European market of car equipment in 2020. * Olivier Mélis also adds “We hope to implement numerous synergies with the different brands of the Group, particularly with Bythjul, which is very complementary to Skruvat, both in terms of customers and offerings.”
The company Skruvat, founded in 2008 in Sweden by two entrepreneurs – Roberth Risberg and Peter Jakobsson – today is the e-commerce leader in car parts and accessories in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, and has shown double-digit growth. Drawing on the expertise of a team of 47 employees, the pure player provides individual and professional consumers a wide range of car parts, tires, accessories and parts for boats. The company also relies on a network of 2,000 fitting partners.
For Peter Jakobsson, co-founder of Skruvat: “We are very excited to be joining Mobivia Groupe. This partnership will open up new families of products to us and enable us to take advantage of beneficial collaboration and synergies, particularly regarding our purchasing. This will then enable us to continue to grow Skruvat’s sales across all our markets and strengthen our leadership in the Nordic countries.”
