Mobivia Groupe acquires Bythjul.com, the Nordic ecommerce specialist of tyres

Mobivia Groupe, European leader in maintenance and equipment for multi-brand vehicles is acquiring a majority shareholding in pure player Bythjul.com, a longstanding online retailer and Nordic market leader.

Bythjul.com was previously owned by venture capital fund Verdane Capital V, specialised in ITC firms, and by its founders.

Pursue international expansion and speed up its development in ecommerce.

With an international presence in 12 countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Romania, Poland, Russia, Argentina, Morocco and Algeria), Mobivia Groupe has now extended its operations to the markets of the Nordic countries. By acquiring Bythjul.com, Mobivia Groupe also aims to strengthen its e-commerce activities, developed in its various activities and especially through its website Oxyo-pneus.fr, launched in 2011.

Strength positions according to synergies

Bythjul.com, incorporated in Sweden in 2002, is now a leading web-seller of tyres and wheel rims in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. It offers consumers a broad range of products from the world’s largest manufacturers, including Nokian, Michelin, Pirelli and Goodyear.

Bythjul.com was previously majority-owned by venture capital fund Verdane Capital V, operating in the Nordic markets and benefiting from recognised expertise in financial support for e-commerce businesses. Verdane Capital Advisors has had an important role in the development of Bythjul.com as a pure player. The company went international in 2006, since when it has quintupled its revenues.
